Rolls Royce Wraith
The Bentley Continental Convertible is powered by a 6.0-litre W12 Twin-Turbo producing 550 HP. At idle, it is almost silent — composed, unhurried. Press the throttle and a deep, measured growl builds with the speed. The cabin is lined in hand-stitched leather with sculpted seats offering both heating and ventilation. AWD traction keeps the car settled on Dubai’s urban roads, including the sand-dusted surfaces that appear after desert winds. An 8-speed automatic transmission handles gear changes seamlessly, without any input from the driver.
The result is a car that communicates authority through restraint. Never loud, always present. The Continental Convertible doesn’t perform for the crowd — it simply arrives.
«
Pro tip: The Continental Convertible seats four, but the rear is designed for occasional use — better suited to children or short transfers. For full comfort, plan it as a two-person experience.
The route from Jumeirah Beach Road to Palm Jumeirah works best between November and March, when evening temperatures settle around 22–27°C. Lower the roof, set a steady pace, take it in. In summer, plan the same route after 9:00 PM when the heat has lifted.
The Continental Convertible establishes your presence at a valet before you say a word. Arriving at DIFC for a meeting or at Nammos Dubai for dinner, the car makes the statement on your behalf.
The blue-grey exterior and open convertible silhouette photograph exceptionally well against Dubai’s skyline. Meydan Bridge after 11:00 PM offers clean backgrounds with almost no traffic. The Museum of the Future forecourt works well in early morning light. Both locations consistently produce professional-quality results.
The drive along Sheikh Zayed Road takes under 90 minutes. One thing worth noting: the UAE speed buffer is 20 km/h in Dubai — Abu Dhabi enforces zero tolerance on many roads. Plan your pace accordingly.
The two closest alternatives in the Brook Drive fleet are the Rolls-Royce Wraith and the Porsche 911 Turbo S.
The Wraith is rear-wheel drive. On Dubai’s roads — especially after sand settles from desert winds — the Continental’s AWD system delivers meaningfully more traction from a standing start. The Wraith is the choice for pure ceremony. The Continental Convertible is the choice when you want ceremony and capability in the same car.
The Porsche 911 Turbo S delivers sharper acceleration. But it offers a closed cabin and a compact 2+2 layout. The Continental gives you open-air driving, a genuine four-seat body, and 235 litres of boot space with the roof up — enough for two full-size suitcases and two carry-ons. For a multi-day trip to Abu Dhabi or an airport pickup from DXB with luggage, the Continental is the practical choice among convertible cars at this level.
«
Important: Ground clearance on the Continental Convertible is approximately 120 mm. Approach steep parking ramps and speed bumps straight-on and at low speed to protect the front bumper.
