Rolls Royce Wraith
At idle, the 6.0-litre W12 twin-turbo is almost eerily quiet — the cabin insulation is so thorough that the car feels closer to one of the electric cars in our fleet than a traditional grand tourer. Press the throttle, and a deep exhaust note builds steadily, channelling 550 HP through an AWD system that distributes torque to all four wheels without interruption. The 8-speed automatic executes shifts in milliseconds. No jerk, no hesitation.
Inside, hand-stitched leather and polished surfaces speak to a car assembled largely by hand. The three-chamber air suspension, paired with Bentley Dynamic Ride’s 48V active roll control, absorbs what Dubai’s roads present — speed bumps on JBR, expansion joints on Sheikh Zayed Road — without transmitting so much as a shiver to the cabin. The convertible roof folds in 19 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h, meaning you can drop it at a red light without pulling over.
«
Practical note: The Bentley Continental Convertible carries a 260-litre boot — enough for two to three mid-size suitcases. If you are collecting someone from DXB with luggage, plan accordingly or contact us in advance to discuss logistics.
From November through April, temperatures settle at a comfortable 22–26°C, making open-air cruising enjoyable throughout the day. In summer, plan top-down drives after 8 PM, when the heat subsides and the city lights reflect off the water. The Continental’s grey exterior reads exceptionally well against an illuminated skyline — the tunnels leading onto the Palm are a particular highlight, where the W12 exhaust note has room to breathe without the acoustic amplification of enclosed residential streets.
The long bonnet, the convertible silhouette, and the handcrafted interior create an entrance that no standard luxury saloon replicates. Valet staff at Atlantis, Burj Al Arab, and DIFC venues routinely position cars of this calibre at the front. This is not a car that needs to announce itself — it simply belongs.
The Museum of the Future, Meydan Bridge, and the stretch of Sheikh Zayed Road near the Frame are natural settings for the Continental’s proportions. Meydan Bridge after 11 PM offers minimal traffic and clean long-exposure conditions. The grey finish reads neutrally against both warm city lights and cool architectural backdrops.
The rear seats accommodate two adults with genuine comfort. The air filtration system and climate-controlled cabin ensure you arrive composed. One practical note on Abu Dhabi roads: speed limits are enforced from the first kilometre per hour over — there is no tolerance buffer. Factor that into your journey time.
The two closest alternatives available in Dubai are the Rolls-Royce Wraith and the Porsche 911 Targa.
The Wraith is a fixed-roof coupe — you cannot open it. The Continental Convertible gives you open-air driving as a genuine option, which the Wraith simply does not offer. The Continental also runs AWD, while the Wraith is rear-wheel drive. For clients who want the full British grand tourer experience under an open sky, the Continental is the clear choice.
The 911 Targa offers a partial open-top experience with a narrower, sportier cabin and a 132-litre boot. The Continental’s 260-litre boot and four genuine seats make it the more practical choice for two passengers travelling with luggage. The 911 Targa prioritises driver engagement and cornering precision; the Continental prioritises comfort, space, and presence — a fundamentally different brief.
If you want four seats, open air, AWD, and a W12 engine in a single car, there is no direct substitute at this level. You might also consider the Bentley Bentayga if you need additional passenger space without leaving the marque — or browse our full range of convertible cars for alternative open-top options.
